In early 2012, two struggling writers came together with the simple idea of curating their own works of literature. Frustrated with the difficult process (and oftentimes rejecting nature) of becoming a published writer, they sought to produce a more successful way of bringing their writing to the masses. When word spread, they worked to create an outlet for both new and previously published authors alike to share their greatest poetic creations. Thus, The Social Poet was born. Now, The Social Poet has become a home for a broad spectrum of writers, and continues to grow as an outlet for some of the world’s most rejected works of literary genius.
